The University

Today TU Dresden is the largest university in Saxony. For more information please take a look at the university’s website.

The City

Dresden is undoubtledly one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Severely destroyed during the war, the city centre today lives up to its old magnificence. Not only Dresden, but the close surroundings with the city of Meißen and its porcelain manufactory, the Moritzburg and Pillnitz castles and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains (also called Saxon Switzerland) are worth days and weeks of visiting.

The weather is moderate in Dresden, temperatures in the end of August might reach from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius.
