Enjoying a prime spot on the banks of the River Elbe, the Internationales Congress Center Dresden is considered one of Europe’s most modern congress centres. Its various halls and rooms are spread over four levels. The ICD and the adjoining Maritim Hotel are situated just on the other side of the Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge) – forming an impressive contrast to the adjacent historical baroque buildings of the old town centre.

Dresden is undoubtledly one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Severely destroyed during the war, the city centre today lives up to its old magnificence. Not only Dresden, but the close surroundings with the city of Meißen and its porcelain manufactory, the Moritzburg and Pillnitz castles and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains (also called Saxon Switzerland) are worth days and weeks of visiting.

The weather is moderate in Dresden, temperatures in September might reach from 15 to 25 degrees Celsius.
